The Linn-Benton Community College Heavy Equipment and Diesel Technology program is designed to provide hands-on training and practical skills to prepare you for a successful career in this field. Experienced instructors will teach you the fundamentals and theory of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, powertrains, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning used on heavy equipment. You will learn how to diagnose and repair equipment, as well as perform routine maintenance and safety checks. With a comprehensive curriculum and state-of-the-art equipment, you will gain the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in this in-demand field. Whether you are starting your career or looking to enhance your existing skills, this program will help you achieve your goals and advance in the industry. Linn-Benton Community College is the only Construction and Forestry program with John Deere west of Texas. This exclusive partnership provides students with a unique opportunity to receive John Deere focused training and gain valuable experience working with John Deere equipment. With this advanced training, students will be well-prepared to enter the workforce at their sponsored dealer location.

For Every sponsored student that maintains a minimum GPA of 3.0, Coastline Equipment will reimburse tuition* (minus the cost of tools), at 50% after each term. The remaining balance is reimbursed in 4 payments over 2 years upon graduation. Coastline also offers a number of additional support programs to our students, including a generous GPA reimbursement to help with expenses, Scholarships and grants assistance, boot allowance, graduation celebrations, and the other additional perks of being a Coastline Equipment and John Deere TECH student.
