Models

Three-point articulation

Three-point articulation is different to conventional joints due to its geometric arrangement and connection of the three individual joints and one additional connecting link between the two conventional upper joints. This allows optimum steering, excellent driving safety and maximum driving comfort.

Power Hybrid

With the 9 t HD+ 90i PH tandem roller (EPA Tier 4/EU Stage V), HAMM combines a traditional combustion engine with a hydraulic accumulator. While the diesel unit provides the basic load, the hydraulic accumulator is able to cover peak loads, such as start-up or activating vibration/oscillation, by providing an additional 20 kW of power at short notice. After this maximal load has been generated, the hydraulic accumulator is recharged via a pump. In this way, the machine provides full compaction power while simultaneously saving fuel.

HAMMTRONIC

HAMMTRONIC is an electronic machine management system that monitors and controls all key machine functions, consequently increasing safety, economy and fuel savings. The opportunities offered by HAMMTRONIC include, for instance, automatic adjustment of the diesel engine speed to meet the power requirements of the individual drives. Moreover, HAMMTRONIC controls start-up and braking, and distributes the drive torques across the drum axis and back wheels in line with current operating data. HAMMTRONIC also controls the hydrostatic vibration drive and the various steering programs (for DV+ series only), guaranteeing even, smooth movement of both drums.

Smart Compaction

In the Smart Compaction product range, HAMM offers various solutions for intelligent and simple compaction, compaction measurement, and documentation. The focus here is on digital interfaces between the driver and the machine as well as various assistants. The innovations offered here (such as Smart Doc) contribute significantly to meeting the increasing demands for high compaction quality in modern earthworks and road construction, and directly integrating the megatrends of digitalization and resource conservation into daily construction site activity.

Split drum

When negotiating corners and roundabouts and when performing tight steering maneuvers, attempting to perform compaction without twin drums can lead to material being displaced and cracks forming on the surface. A split drum prevents this from occurring as the two halves rotate at different speeds. This minimizes shear stress on the asphalt and avoids surface cracks and material being displaced. With the split oscillation drum, HAMM also offers a technology that combines the advantages of a split drum with those of oscillation. The result: Maximum compaction quality.
