Position Overview:
The Production Class Equipment (PCE) Specialist is essential in driving the growth of John Deere Production Class Equipment sales within our service areas. This role requires an individual skilled in specifying and recommending John Deere PCE solutions and technologies tailored to our clients' unique operational needs. With a focus on the construction, quarry, aggregate, mining, crushing, screening, and pipeline industries, the PCE Specialist will engage clients, develop customer relationships, and support sales efforts across the dealership to enhance our presence in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement: Manage and coordinate relationships across sales, service, rental, and parts teams to enhance the PCE customer experience.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage key decision-makers at the operator, support, and ownership levels to specify and recommend tailored equipment and technology solutions.
- Sales Enablement: Develop a PCE sales handbook to provide guidance on key client questions, competitive comparisons, and operational requirements, enabling our sales professionals to approach opportunities with confidence.
- Sales Strategy and Development: Drive PCE expertise within the dealership, identify prospective customers, and support the sales team in direct client interactions and sales presentations.
- Market Insight and Trends: Identify and track market trends and customer needs to align our offerings with evolving industry requirements.
- Demonstrations and Support: Lead PCE demonstrations of John Deere equipment for optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
- Technology Utilization: Promote advanced John Deere technologies, such as automation, SmartGrade™, and JDLink™, to maximize client efficiency and satisfaction.
- Technical Assistance: Provide PCE-related technical support and expertise to customers, the dealership, and the sales team as required.
- Process Management: Implement dealership processes to monitor and maintain equipment health effectively.
- Industry Networking: Maintain strong industry relationships through participation in trade associations and events in construction, mining, and mineral industries.
- Travel: Travel approximately 70% of the time to meet directly with clients, foster relationships, and generate demand.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in sales and support within the construction, quarry, or mining industries, with a focus on heavy equipment.
- Sales Skills: Proven abilities in sales, negotiation, and effective communication within industries using Production Class Equipment.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build relationships with stakeholders, understand their needs, and effectively manage workload and priorities.
- Work Style: Demonstrates effective collaboration skills and can work independently as needed.

Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to talk and hear.

Compensation & Benefits:
- Wage: $75,000 - $110,000 per year.
- Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance; paid time off; paid holidays. Benefits are available after 90 days of employment.
